POSITION DESCRIPTION
A dedicated position is proposed for a well-rounded professional (with G&G and Engineering exposure) with the following responsibilities:
Review & manage all E&PE Technology Department publications (paper, brochures, style sheets, etc.). Offer expert advice on new publication requirements. Launch a periodic departmental newsletter. This may include writing original articles, interviews, blending and/or condensing submittals, etc. Research general topics using Internet and other sources to assist authors or to create original pieces. Originates material, updates/edits booklets and brochures used by the department as required. Including booklets on the oil industry & benefits pamphlets etc. Further requirements include the ability to get along with others, diplomacy, flexibility and working well under pressure and deadlines. Position is under the general direction of the Manager, may receive work direction from Division Heads.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Must have 10 years experience as editor or writer with an institutional or professional society.
Must be highly proficient in written and spoken English, particularly as related to the requirements of editor; must have a good command of phraseology used in such fields as geophysics, geology, petroleum technology and engineering.
Thorough knowledge of Company policy and operations. Perceptive in handling matters of a confidential nature; adequate background in the cultures, traditions, and beliefs of various nationalities, as well as good knowledge of local sensitivities so as to avoid controversy and offensiveness; must have fairly wide knowledge of the oil industry in Saudi Arabia.
Proficient in MS Office. Must be able to type. Holds a degree in Journalism or closely related degree with experience exceeding 10 years.
