JOB LOCATION: SAUDI ARABIA
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Engineer will be required to support the Refinery in the field of Process control engineering covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, day-to-day activities, and long-term performance improvements. The successful candidate is expected to:
Have thorough knowledge about control systems specifications and design related issues.
Provide support and troubleshooting for any process control related operational and maintenance field problems.
Act as a DCS system reference/information source to refinery and provide operations and plant maintenance groups with the system technical support required.
Perform modification to DCS database, Plant schematics, CL programs and logic as required.
Responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of Emergency Shutdown System (ESD).
Provide support to auxiliary systems PLC#s like Allen Bradley..etc, and compressors control systems.
Review, design, and troubleshoot various DCS and auxiliary systems networking and integration related issues.
Provide support to field instrumentations.
Review control systems project proposals and design packages, conduct equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT); hot cutover, commissioning; and support new plants start up.
Coordinate, commission; and support Advanced Process Control (APC) applications.
Review company engineering standards and participate in standards reviews committees.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
BS Chemical/Electrical or Systems engineering.
Minimum of 10 years experiences in process control field related to refinery, oil and gas industry.
Basic knowledge in refinery chemical processes.
Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
Must have Participated in project commissioning, field problems troubleshooting in oil and gas related industries.
Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices, international standards, and economic principles related to incumbent's field.
