Position Description: Saudi Aramco seeks a potential candidate to work for the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC). The candidate will initiate, provide consultation, and conduct research in different well stimulation technologies, especially in the areas of tight gas development, fracturing techniques, formation damage mitigation and sandstone, carbonate matrix acidizing. Generate new ideas, develop, lead research projects, and oversee laboratory field studies on developed technologies. Analyze trial results and make recommendations for design improvement and optimize field deployment. Prepare technical reports and publish technical papers in international technical conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
Minimum Requirements: Candidate should hold an advanced degree, preferably Ph.D., in Petroleum engineering or a closely related subject (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Geology).
Typically has at least 15 - 20 years of related experience in the oil industry, academia, and/or government related tight gas simulation technology. Typically will be active in related professional societies and will have achieved professional recognition through publications, committee activities, etc. Will typically have received a higher level of industrial recognition, such as committee chairmanships, appointment as "distinguished lecturer", etc.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly to work effectively with others, and to utilize his technical knowledge to achieve practical results. Supervisors and Aramco Management must have confidence in his judgment and recommendations.
