Refinery Mechanical Engineer

JOB LOCATION: SAUDI ARABIA
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Engineer will be required to support the Refinery in the field of mechanical fixed equipments covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, day-to-day activities, and long-term performance improvements. The successful candidate is expected to:
Perform/review and endorse all hot tap calculations.
Prepare, review, and approve datasheets for all mechanical fixed equipment (including but not limited to heat exchangers, furnaces, and pressure vessels..etc), datasheet and Safety Instruction Sheets.
Prepare piping construction drawings with Layout Group including valve datasheets.
Review mechanical design packages on all expense and capital projects.
Perform piping stress calculations in accordance with B31.1, B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8.
Provide piping supports evaluation on all field piping changes.
Evaluate valve repair, reconditioning, and casting defects problems.
Perform tank modifications and evaluations in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards and API codes.
Perform furnace tube strength calculations in accordance with API codes.
Carry out ASME Section 8 Division 1 and Division 2 analysis for fixed equipment.
Perform fitness for service on all fixed equipment, piping systems, and pipelines in accordance with API standards.
Perform vibration analysis (steady state, transient, vortex shedding, slug, water hammer).
SELECTION CRITERIA:
BS Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years experiences in mechanical fixed equipments related to refinery, oil and gas industry.
Basic knowledge in refinery chemical processes.
Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
Must have participated in project commissioning, field problems troubleshooting in oil and gas related industries.
Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices, international standards, and economic principles related to incumbent's field.
