JOB LOCATION: SAUDI ARABIA
Education: BS in Petroleum Engineering
Experience: Fifteen (15) years experience in drilling engineering and the design of vertical horizontal and multilateral oil and gas wells. Knowledge and experience in the application of new drilling technology and under-balanced drilling are desirable.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writes drilling (Exploratory and Development) and workover programs for oil , gas (horizontal wells with 13,000' TVD and vertical wells with 22,000 TVD) and water wells. Writes well completion reports. Monitors daily drilling operations and provides technical and engineering support to drilling operations. Evaluates new drilling equipment and procedures to reduce cost and increase drilling efficiency. Initiates studies to solve drilling problems and recommends ideas to enhance drilling performance. Attend important and critical field jobs to assist the Drilling Supervisor. Optimize the drilling process without compromising safety. Involve in projects to bring new technology or enhance the existing one. Prepare well cost estimates. Interact with reservoir, geology and production to for optimizing the well design without compromising the basic objective. Safety consciousness is a must. Experience in drilling sour gas is preferred. Computer literate and should be able to run all well plan related software. Self starter and dependable to take care of more than one rig operations at a time. Train the young engineers for their development .
