The Chemicals Manufacturing Consultant will have a thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities. Have working knowledge of chemicals markets and dynamics. Have detailed understanding of product properties, customer applications and requirements
Principle responsibilities include:
- Advise joint ventures on all aspects of operational excellence
- Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities
- Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new chemicals facilities
- Advance profitable chemicals growth projects
- Perform due diligence for manufacturing sites in support of M&A
- Propose technical feasibility of new products
- Lead strategic product development trials at manufacturing sites
- Conduct competitive cost analyses for regional and target market competitors
- Develop a long term process technology outlook and recommend strategic alternatives
- Contribute to Business Unit strategy; advise regarding capacities, technology/product mix capabilities, technological trends, and potential leveraging improvements
- Train future manufacturing experts in all aspects of the business
Minimum Requirements: BS in Chemical Engineering. An MS is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of chemicals manufacturing experience, plus 10 years in related chemicals business, supply chain, or technology roles
