JOB LOCATION: SAUDI ARABIA
Position Description: Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced Digital System Technician to work with the Yanbu Refinery Department at its refinery facility based at Yanbu on the western cost of Saudi Arabia.
The Digital System Technician will perform routine preventative maintenance on field instrumentation and analyzers and basic control room equipment. Have the ability to maintain and troubleshoot DCS, Triconix, Pentlynivada, and CCC Systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Use appropriate test and calibration equipment and make adjustments as necessary. Disassemble and reassemble equipment. Repair or replace parts as necessary.
- Run tests to verify correct operation. Help maintain spare parts inventory.
- Work with senior technicians in more complex field maintenance tasks.
- Interpret instrumentation schematics and loop drawings.
- Locate and interpret relevant technical information, such as data sheets and vendor manuals.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all types of controllers.
- Identify, investigate and troubleshoot the control related problems of Regularity and Multivariable controllers.
- Carries out control related studies based on observations for the improvements of existing control schemes, or recommends the introduction of new control schemes. This includes studying the existing schemes and operating manuals.
- Responds to emergency and after hours calls.
- Performs other similar or related duties such as maintaining up to date control documentation of applications for reference, preparing weekly and monthly activity reports, attending meetings with Operations to discuss control related operational activities, providing backup to control system engineers as needed, etc.
Minimum Requirement: Qualified to Diploma level (Degree preferred) with 13 years experience in the field of Petroleum and instrumentation.
