Position Description: Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced Lab Technician to work with the Ras Tanura Refinery Engineering Department at its Refinery Facility based at Ras Tanura on the eastern cost of Saudi Arabia. The technician performs laboratory analysis and ensures the integrity of lab equipment / instruments, and testing material prior to running the analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs relatively complex laboratory analyses. Uses sophisticated and advanced equipment and instrumentation where necessary.
- Performs complex sampling tasks which may require several steps and extra safety precautions, and may need on-site analytical work performed.
- Report test results to the customers in a timely manner utilizing the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), E-Mails, or the standard Saudi Aramco report format.
- Demonstrates task performance in the training of junior staff as directed by his supervisor.
- Directs basic work such as simple analytical and sampling tasks as required by his supervisor.
- Operates company vehicles as required in support of sampling or other operations.
- Observes safety rules, reports hazards to his supervisor and acts on them as necessary.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirement: BS Degree in Chemistry, preferred in "Analytical Chemistry". Minimum three years working experience in either Petroleum based laboratories (preferred) or petrochemical labs. Experience in Instrumental Analysis, Quality Control & Quality Assurance in Chemical Analysis, Chemical Analysis by Gravimetric Methods and Chemical Analysis by Physical Testing Methods.
