JOB LOCATION: SAUDI ARABIA
Position Description: Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced senior Linear Program Engineer to work with the Riyadh Refinery Dept at its Riyadh Facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities include:
- Running the linear program model of the refinery to optimize the refinery operation.
- Updating and enhancing the refinery model periodically to reflect changes in the refinery.
- Work to develop the Operating Plans/Yearly Operating Plans/5 Years Business plans in coordination with other organizations. Verify any operational constraints prior to submitting the case.
- Handles planning issues in process engineering activities, performs special analyses and prepares reports for other planning-economic related problems, as required.
- Analyses the product quality giveaway and recommends changes in the process units to minimize the loss from the quality giveaways.
- Prepares the production loss from any operational upsets planned or unplanned and highlight to all the parties concerned both inside and outside the refinery. Issues monthly look back report based on the actual performance events of the months.
- Provides planning and decision support for management in a variety of routine and non-routine areas, including new opportunities, special requests, and recovery from upsets (unit operations, product blending and inventory control), shutdowns and start-ups.
- Conducts economic evaluations, prepares special reports, and engages in other projects review as required. Mentor the young Saudi PDP's for their development. Share their experiences through technical discussions and knowledge transfer among the group.
Minimum Requirement: BS Degree in Chemical Engineering and 15 years of experience in cracking refinery of which at least 10 years in production planning.
