Position Description:
We seek an experienced Downstream Oil & Gas R&D Market Analyst to work with Research and Development Center. Research and Development Center, Conducts pioneering research, introduce new technology and provide specialized technical services that will enhance Saudi Aramco profitability and productivity in a cost-effective, timely and collaborative manner. There are eight projects identified within the R&D downstream program with the objective to protect the future market for oil:
- Whole Crude Oil Desulfurization
- Petroleum Combustion
- Oil to Hydrogen
- Carbon Management
- Oil to Chemicals
- Clean Fuels
- Natural Gas Supply & Sulfur
- Biotechnology
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
The overall objective of the position is insight generation and dissemination to fulfill the corporate vision that Saudi Aramco will be recognized as a world leader in the development of hydrocarbon technologies
Gather information about status and direction of R&D in the oil and gas arena on a worldwide framework
Analyze strategic and future markets for petroleum products and petrochemicals
Produce high-end reports relating to R&D perspectives which integrate with Company strategy
Conduct studies through coordination with Consultants
Produce intelligence briefs through information gathering visits
Establish relationships with market analysts as a continuous resource
Be able to concurrently manage information gathering on multiple projects
Work closely with Saudi Aramco R&D Management and be able to present R&D strategy
Coordinate exchange and progress meetings with collaborators inside and outside Saudi Aramco
Provide periodic progress reports and presentations to the Executive Management
Mentor and oversee development of Saudi Arab staff in his area
Minimum Requirement:
Ph.D. or Master's Degree in a relevant oil and/or gas application preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience related to R&D in the oil market and industrial collaboration management. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent team member but also self motivated and exemplary people skills with a strong work ethic
Other related experience includes:
Extensive knowledge of latest technology developments and research direction within the industry
Familiarity with collaboration models in academia and industry
Familiarity with legal responsibilities and intellectual property regulations in typical collaborations
