Maintenance Planner

Position Description: Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced maintenance planner to work with the Ras Tanura Refinery Engineering Department at its Refinery Facility based at Ras Tanura on the eastern cost of Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive, log and process all work orders, ensuring conformance with the latest revision of G.I. 1000.500, Maintenance Work Order.
- Prepares detailed job step plans in proper execution sequence, with details of craft manhour and crew size requirements for each step. Utilizes extensive knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved and places job steps in the proper sequence to ensure efficient completion of work to meet operational requirements. Visits job sites when necessary to determine special job requirements.
- Oversees AMMS activities in the assigned area providing work direction to AMMS Operators as necessary.
- Identifies all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step.
- Arranges for and schedules support service equipment, to coincide with the work order scheduling.
- Prepares daily schedules from the approved Weekly Schedule, per Aramco G.I. 1020. Coordinates daily schedules with Maintenance Foremen, Supervisor and Operations Foremen and ensures that a complete planning package is attached to the work order.
- Maintains work order and equipment history files and is responsible for checking and ensures data is entered. Ensures accuracy of all related maintenance systems data files.
- Provides maintenance performance monitoring data for his assigned area, segment, unit or division (depending on the organizational pattern and assignment).
- Prepares Whole Job Standards and reviews the log of existing Whole Job Standards for potential application to current work. Maximizes the use of those existing Whole Job Standards to perform planning efficiently.
Minimum Requirement: BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with a minimum of 7 years in maintenance planning, scheduling and coordination. Craft supervisory experience is desirable. Should be familiar with Critical Path Scheduling. Incumbent should be experienced with the use of computerized maintenance planning, scheduling and performance monitoring programs, SAP maintenance planning programs or Primavera planning programs.
