Our Communities
Four individual communities make up the Saudi Aramco community family: Dhahran, Ras Tanura, Abqaiq and Udhailiyah. Each unique in appearance and size, but all four are friendly, welcoming places filled with Saudi Aramco expatriate employees from all over the world.
Dhahran
As Saudi Aramco’s worldwide headquarters, Dhahran is our center for finance, exploration, engineering, drilling services, medical services and materials supply organizations, amongst others. [More about Dhahran]
Ras Tanura
Ras Tanura (also referred to as Najmah) is Saudi Aramco’s ‘Jewel community by the beach’. If you join us to work in Aviation, Marine Operations, the Ras Tanura Refinery, or the gas plants at Berri and Ju’aymah, then Ras Tanura will be your home. [More about Ras Tanura]
Abqaiq
Also known as the ‘Friendly City’, Abqaiq is Saudi Aramco’s main oil processing center. With a total population of approximately 1,500, its location is about 46 miles southwest of Dhahran, and approximately 40 miles from the oasis city of Hofuf. [More about Abqaiq]
Udhailiyah
Our newest family community, ‘Udhailiyah is approximately 100 miles southwest of our headquarters in Dhahran and has a current population of around 1,000. Its residents are mainly employees of the Southern Area Oil and Gas Organizations and medical professionals who work at Saudi Aramco’s Al-Hasa Clinic. [More about Udhailyah]
